BMP Medical announced that it appointed Michael Carignan as its new programs and engineering manager.

Carignan joins BMP Medical at its Sterling, Massachusetts plastic manufacturing hub facility. He brings with him more than 33 years of experience in the plastic manufacturing industry.

Before BMP Medical, Carignan served as president of Wachusett Precision Tool for more than five years before selling the company this year. He held senior engineering, program management, director of sales and business development roles at Nypro Healthcare (now Jabil) over 18 years.

“Michael Carignan brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to this important position, and has a successful background in the plastics industry,” said BMP Medical President and CEO Michael Faulkner. “His experience in growing businesses and delivering excellent customer experience for demanding medical programs is second to none.

Faulkner said the appointment of Carignan reflects BMP Medical’s ambition to enhance its programs and engineering solutions. The company aims to “deliver the highest level of quality” for its strategic customers, he added.

“Custom plastic contract manufacturer BMP Medical is a well-known family-owned business that I have worked with for over six years as a supplier, before joining the team full-time,” said Carignan. “The company has a strong foundation of talented people and additional facility square footage with considerable opportunity for future growth. I’m happy to be part of the BMP Medical team.”
