Hemco today announced the launch of its new UniFlow radioisotope fume hood for lab work involving radiochemicals.

Independence, Missouri-based Hemco said the new product is constructed with a welded one-piece seamless type 304 stainless steel interior fume chamber that has all corners coved for easy cleaning.

The work surface, meanwhile, is welded to the fume chamber liner and reinforced to support the weight of lead barriers and other heavy equipment used for isotope work, the company said.

The fume hoods come in widths of 48 in, 60 in. and 72 in.

Standard features include LED lighting and vertical slide tempered glass sash.

The fume hoods can also be accessorized with service fixtures, electrical service options, cabinets/tables and exhaust blowers to remove hazardous fumes or particulates, among other equipment options.
