Contract manufacturer Cadence today said it has completed the expansion of its Product Realization Center in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania.
The expanded facility now totals 42,000 ft². Cadence opened the dedicated finished device facility in 2013 for certified cleanroom manufacturing, final assembly, final packaging and labeling, sterilization management, and supply chain management of finished medical devices.
The company also said construction is underway to double the size of the facility’s Class 7/Class 10,000 cleanroom.
“We have chosen all materials, equipment, and building designs that duplicate the current cleanroom space,” Mark Carper, director of operations at the Pennsylvania facility, said in a news release. “Construction is planned to minimize downtime of the current cleanroom by building the additional cleanroom adjacent to the existing space.”
Completion of that project is expected in mid-December, with the entire cleanroom space to be re-certified to Cadence’s controls and ISO Class 7 standards by Dec. 11, 2022.
Staunton, Virginia-based Cadence is a contract manufacturer of medical devices and drug delivery devices. The company has more than 550 employees.
