Penn United Technologies is preparing to open its new manufacturing facility in Sarver, Pennsylviania, the company said as it hires staff ahead of the move-in.

The Cabot, Pennsylvania-based company’s advanced materials processing facility totals 50,000 ft². It will have advanced electroplating and processing lines, testing and quality control labs, wastewater treatment equipment, upgraded environmental controls providing better efficiencies for customers, and a modernized environment for employees, the company said.

Penn United said it is actively hiring manufacturing line technicians to help prepare for the move and to work in the facility. The move-in starts this fall and is scheduled to be complete within 12-18 months as the company works with customers to qualify production.

“In the last few years, we have experienced unprecedented demand driven by exponential growth in our connected world, and the need for stamped and plated electrical contacts and terminals. As a result, we have outgrown our current facility,” Penn United CEO and President Bill Jones said in a news release yesterday.

The company has planned an opening ceremony and recruiting event at the facility (300 N. Pike Road) on National Manufacturing Day, Oct. 7.

Employee-owned Penn United is a diversified precision metals manufacturer with a range of manufacturing services for medtech and other industries.
